OUR VISION
to redesign the high school experience for life
OUR MISSION
to develop people who believe that the world can be a better place and that they can be a part of making it happen.
d.tech’s learning environment features several characteristics designed to achieve its mission:
design thinking
‘Design thinking’, a problem-solving practice from Stanford University, is infused in everything students do. When this approach is applied to real-world challenges, students develop self-efficacy and find their creative purpose. They learn to adopt feedback as actionable information, and embrace the idea that effort is needed to push through anticipated set-backs.
tech savviness
Students are taught how to both use and create technology, so that they can express their ideas and gain confidence in applying whatever tools are needed to accomplish their goals.
community
D.tech strives to create a school community of students, teachers, and families where people of all social identities feel that they belong at Design Tech.
