There are two categories of siblings: those who have a brother or sister attending d.tech, and siblings who are applying to enter d.tech in the same school year.
- Siblings of current d.tech students must apply and go through the lottery in order to be eligible to enroll. He/she is automatically offered a spot in the first pass of the lottery and must accept or decline by the decision deadline. See Timeline. Siblings of current students can contact the enrollment office to arrange a campus visit, and can attend an Open House if they wish. It is not required.
- Siblings who are applying to join d.tech for the first time in the same year are connected within the lottery; for example, if a family has twins, or two children applying for different grades, and one of them receives an offer, the second student automatically goes to the top of the waitlist for their grade, and receives the next available offer.
- d.tech strives to accommodate as many requests for student visits as possible. Given there are more requests than capacity, campus visits will be offered to students and their families after they receive an offer in the lottery if they have not yet had those opportunities. d.tech recognizes how important it is for students and families to have that information to help them determine whether the school is a good fit.
