Design Tech High School and the student community are very excited about being part of the Redwood Shores community. Our students bring with them the enthusiasm, empathy and problem-solving skills to make positive contributions and create public benefits. In one recent example, as part of their Design Lab curriculum, students (pictured to the right) worked on redesigning the interactive exhibit in the Redwood Shores Public Library.
Student Projects Focused on Redwood Shores
d.tech students would like discover how they might be able to help you or your organization solve a challenge. With that in mind, members of the Redwood Shores community and their organizations are invited to share ideas and suggestions for community benefit challenges that will be reviewed and selected by the students for research and possible development.
If your project is selected by a student team, you will be contacted with more information regarding next steps. Please be aware that these special community project times will take place four times a year during d.tech's two-week intersession periods.
Outreach Projects with Local Public Schools
In addition to student projects that benefit the community, d.tech will coordinate with local schools to provide design thinking workshops for Redwood Shores students, as well as an annual Maker Day in d.tech's Design Realization Garage.
