Wednesday March 8th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm Regional Admission Counselors of California Case-Studies Event. (for juniors and their families only).
Junior students and their parents are invited to participate in a mock admissions evening known as 'Case Studies'. The high school counselor asks participants to prepare in advance by reading 3 sample college admissions applications. During the Case Studies event, students and parents meet in small groups with an experienced admissions officer who leads a discussion on what colleges looks for in an applicant, as well as what every college values. Students learn first-hand how they are evaluated, which helps them begin thinking of the qualities and strengths they bring to the process, and what they need to do to prepare for the application process. A college fair concludes the evening, allowing students to benefit from the contacts they make and ideas they explore.
