  • Statement of Goal

“To rise up, we must lift others first." :  the d.tech India Team

Hello, we are a group of fourteen students at Design Tech High School who have created a two week service trip to northern India. We hope that this is just the start of a culturally immersive service program that will inform the lives of students into the future, build understanding and change the world for the better.

While in India we will perform multiple acts of service such as assisting Tibetan refugees improve their English skills, perform service at Nyingtob Ling, a Tibetan special needs school, assist in cultural activities and building toilet facilities in Balla. This trip allows us to make an actual difference beyond our Bay Area lives. It provides an entirely new level of learning and service when you go to the place that is in need. We look forward to impacting the lives of others, and seeing the immediate change from the service we provide.

We are fundraising for the opportunity to go on this trip. Our goal includes airfare, amenities and accommodations on our travels. To take the whole team, we need to raise $3,500 per student. We have already raised roughly half of the funds needed already. If you can help by donating any amount towards the final goal, that would be extremely helpful.

If we are very fortunate, and our fundraising goal is exceeded, the money will flow to the next d.tech international trip being planned so we can continue service programs at our school into the future.

If you are a NON-Dtech parent, your donation can be sent via a check made out to Design Tech High School, stating India Service Trip in the memo line. Please sent to 275 Oracle Parkway, Redwood City, CA 95065.

We are incredibly grateful for your donations. Thank you for helping us make this initiative come to fruition. We will update this page in the New Year!
